I'm a Product and UX Designer based in India with 16 years of experience spanning across Startups and MNCs in the industry. I like to šŸš€Ā build things, šŸ‘Øā€šŸ’»Ā solve problems, and šŸƒā€ā™‚ļøĀ run marathons.

Iā€™m a firm believer that a great user experience doesnā€™t happen by accident. You have to know why people behave as they do ā€” and design around their flaws and limitations.

I approach my work as solving problems where business, technology and design intersect.

  • I consider implications of my decisions as it impacts the business internally while deriving value for the client (#1 priority).
  • I ensure the use of technology is in direct support of the solution, and that technology, in and of itself, does not become a requirement. It is a tool, not the end result.
  • I focus on simplicity and information transference. If something is easy to use, but conveys no information of value, thereā€™s no reason to use it.

My career has prepared me to see obscure and elegant solutions to complex problems. Experiences as an entrepreneur, team lead, and executive have given me the ability to see a situation from multiple perspectives, allowing me to communicate more effectively and build consensus.

How it startedā€¦

When I was a little kid, I had a fascination with building things. My parents bought me legos and I would make spaceships, towers, you name it. I craved symmetry, an early cue of my value of design and order. Every piece, large or small held a purpose in each construct. There was a fit, a strategy, for assembling each masterpiece.

A couple of years ago, I looked at the pictures of my past creations. They were more complex and with many more pieces than I had remembered them being.

I realized a valuable lessonā€¦

In any situation, when you understand each person, resource, and context, you will (usually) be able to make the best decision and prove to anyone that it is.

Iā€™ve been fascinated by solving problems ever since.

And from technology to marketing to design, problem-solving and strategy have always been the foundation of my work.

My Design Principles

Identifying the MVP

Most Valuable Problem. User interviews, surveys, card sorting, ethnographic studies, etc... It's necessary to dig deep to make sure we're solving the problem that will be most valuable to solve.

Humans. not Users

Good design balances between aesthetics & functionality while showing empathy towards the user's emotions, behaviours, and jobs-to-be-done.

Less is More

Communication between team members, leaders, and stakeholders during each phase of a project is paramount to its success. The trust earned through transparency increases velocity and quality.
